Protein, which helps build and repair muscles and bones, is an important part of a healthy diet that also provides our bodies with energy. And when life gets busy, as it does with work, school, sports, and all the other extra-curriculars, we need all the energy we can get.

The problem is that it can be challenging to make sure you’re getting enough protein, especially when you’re always on-the-go. This is where we can help.

Most people know that protein can be found in foods such as meat, fish, tofu and dairy products. Less obvious sources include nuts, seeds, lentils and beans. On their own, only a few are quick and convenient when you’re short on time. However, many of them lend themselves to tasty creations that can be premade, ensuring you’ve always got a healthy source of protein on hand.


Starting your day with some protein will keep you satisfied longer than a drive-thru doughnut. These Spinach Feta Egg Bites are a great option that also provides some veggies.
