No-Beer Can Chicken

Ingredients
| 1 | whole chicken | |
| ½ | can CO-OP GOLD Ginger Ale | |
| 2 | sprigs thyme | |
| 1 | teaspoon peppercorns | |
| 3 | garlic cloves | |
| 1 | tablespoon paprika | |
| 1 | teaspoon chili flakes | |
| 1 | teaspoon onion powder | |
| 1 | teaspoon garlic powder | |
| 1 | round pie plate or BBQ-friendly pan |
Directions
Preheat BBQ to high heat for 10 minutes. Drink the first half of the can of ginger ale. Put garlic, thyme, and peppercorns into the can of ginger ale. Rub the chicken with the spices until coated, put the chicken on the can of ginger ale, and place on an aluminum pie plate. Turn BBQ to medium-low heat. Place the chicken on the grill and barbecue for roughly 30-40 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165° F. Brush with your favorite BBQ sauce to finish.
