Baked Apple Cinnamon Doughnuts

Ingredients

| 1¾ | cup (210 g) CO-OP CENTSIBLES All-Purpose Flour | |
| ¼ | tsp (1.5 g) baking soda | |
| ½ | tsp (2.5 g) baking powder | |
| ¼ | tsp (2 g) salt | |
| 1 | tsp (3 g) ground cinnamon | |
| 1 | tsp (3 g) ground ginger | |
| Wet | ||
| ¾ | cup (180 g) MOTT'S FRUITSATIONS Original Apple Sauce | |
| 1 | egg | |
| ½ | cup (115 g) sugar | |
| ½ | cup (80 g) brown sugar | |
| ¼ | cup (49 mL) CO-OP CENTSIBLES Canola Oil | |
| 1 | tsp (6 mL) CO-OP CENTSIBLES Vanilla Extract | |
| Coating | ||
| ½ | cup (115 g) sugar | |
| 1 | tsp (3 g) ground cinnamon | |

- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Place dry ingredients in a bowl and whisk together to ensure it is all incorporated. In a separate bowl, whisk wet ingredients. Next, add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix just enough to combine, but don’t overmix.
- Spray or grease doughnut tray. Place batter in a piping bag or a sandwich bag and cut off a corner. Fill each mould evenly about halfway full. Bake for 9 – 11 minutes.
- While the doughnuts are baking, mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl for the sugar coating.
- Take the doughnuts out of the oven. While still warm so the sugar will stick, place the doughnut into the sugar mix and toss until all sides of the doughnut are coated. It’s important you do this while they are still warm, so the sugar sticks. If the doughnuts cool before you coat them, you can lightly glaze them with melted butter so the cinnamon sugar will stick.
